Reiki
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a non-invasive Japanese energy healing technique that is often used for stress reduction, grounding, relaxation, clearing the chakras (energy centers), and meridians (energy pathways). For those on a journey of self-discovery, Reiki can support personal growth by releasing stagnant energy and spiritual blocks that are no longer needed along a person’s path. This can include karmic energy from your life, ancestral energy carried through many generations, and energy left from past lives. Clearing out energy that is no longer needed creates space for new opportunities and positive energy to take its place. Reiki often brings to the surface new perspectives or solutions regarding life issues. Although Reiki is a spiritual practice, it is not a religion. There are many members of religious organizations including Muslims, Christians, Jews, and Hindus that practice Reiki and feel that it complements their religious beliefs.
Reiki can do no harm and can be used in conjunction with many different healing therapies in both the complementary health care and Western medicine fields. There are currently several hundred hospitals in North America that offer Reiki services to their patients through the use of Reiki volunteers and trained staff including nurses, doctors, physical therapists, and other hospital support staff.

Reiki Is Not
a replacement for Western forms of medicine or mental health therapies. If you are physically ill or having a mental health emergency, contact your doctor or therapist immediately for help. Reiki can hold space and support you during times when you are receiving healing and therapy from your licensed professional healthcare providers, but is in no way a replacement for these professional services. It is a “complementary” therapy that can be integrated alongside all other medical and therapeutic techniques for your health and wellbeing on a physical, emotional, mental, and energetic/spiritual level.
Sessions
All sessions are intuitively guided and will incorporate a blend of Usui Holy Fire®Reiki, Karuna Reiki®, Animal Reiki, and crystals. All sessions, except Animal Reiki, can be either in-person or virtual (worldwide- pending time zone) via Zoom or phone call. Animal Reiki is virtual only via Zoom or phone call. All sessions are customized to your needs at the time of the appointment. Because of this, no two sessions will be alike.
What to Expect
Reiki is a healing energy that can easily pass through layers of clothing, casts, and splints. Because of this, clients remain fully dressed, but I do ask that shoes be removed and left near the studio door when visiting in person. Socks and bare feet are welcome. Clients will most often lay on their back upon the Reiki table, but for those that find this position uncomfortable, the client may lay on their side or stomach. Sitting in a chair is another option. Reiki can be a light-touch or no-touch experience, depending on client preference. Light- touch is a gentle laying-on of the hands, no massage is involved.
Everyone experiences Reiki differently. People that are sensitive to energy may experience Reiki energy as a tingling sensation, as heat or as cold, as a pulse, as a wave. Some people don’t feel it at all. Some fall asleep. Reiki sessions often bring up deep emotions for people as well. This can be uncomfortable and tears are common and welcome as a great way to release stagnant, unwanted energy that people have stored in the auric field or within the body. Body spasms and muscle twitches are other forms of release. This is a safe space for your healing journey and EVERYONE is welcome. No judgement here. Tissues will be provided.
There is no right or wrong way to experience Reiki, but it is necessary to be open to receiving this beautiful healing energy. It is a smart energy and goes where it is needed and wanted for the highest good. Do yourself a favor and bring Reiki into your life.

Cancellation Policy
Sessions are by appointment only. We are unable to accommodate last minute or same day sessions, so please book at least 24 hours in advance.
We do have a firm 24-hour cancellation policy. If something happens to prevent you from making your appointment, please reschedule it as soon as possible. Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged a fee equal to the cost of your missed appointment. As a small business, late cancellations and no-shows prevent us from being able to open that space up for someone else’s healing and can have a detrimental financial impact on the studio.
We require a credit card to reserve your session and to implement our cancellation policy when needed, but you may use a different payment method on the day of your appointment.
For virtual sessions, Zoom details will be sent in a reminder email 12 to 18 hours before your appointment time. Please ensure that info@AbundanceWithin.com is added to your contact list so the email doesn’t end up in your spam folder.
